Swiss Chard Leaves Saute’d

gluten free, sugar free, yeast free

Ingredients:

2 lbs. Swiss chard, chopped

2 medium onions, chopped

1 Tbs. olive oil

2 cloves of garlic, minced

2 Tbs. organic lemon juice or fresh squeezed

¼ tsp. crushed red pepper

Preparation:

Bring a deep pot of water to a boil. Drop in the chopped Swiss chard in the boiling water and cook for two minutes. Remove to a colander to drain. Squeeze out excess water from leaves.

In a saucepan, brown the onions in olive oil. Add garlic and sauté for a couple of minutes. Add the Swiss chard leaves, organic lemon juice and red pepper.  Stir and cook over low heat for 10 minutesYields 4 servings
