Dino’s Marinara Sauce

gluten free, sugar free

Ingredients:

1/4 cup olive oil

1 onion, chopped

10 garlic cloves, chopped

2 – 28 ounce cans crushed tomatoes

3 tablespoons basil

3 tablespoons oregano

1 tablespoon natural sweetener (truvia, stevia powder)

1/2 cup red cooking wine

1 cup parmesan cheese

Salt to taste

Preparation:

In a 3 quart saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.  Add the onion and garlic and cook until golden brown, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.  Add the crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, natural sweetener, red cooking wine, parmesan cheese and salt.  Bring to a boil, them cook over low heat for approximately 30 minutes, stirring often.
